I asked a local woodworker friend, David Day, if he could whip up some nice wooden bases for the headless guitar stand parts that I printed on my 3D printer.  The results are both beautiful and useful.  The holes on the top were David’s idea, and they allow you to pick up the stand and guitar and move them around easily and safely.  Look at the difference between the unfinished originals and the finished (oiled) final product!
