I just refurbished the nesting box for my parrots. This involves screwing in a large number of hooks. After I became tired of doing this by hand, I went into the machine shop and made a winder attachment out of metal. This worked, but the hooks easily worked their way out of the center of the device, after which they almost grabbed the drill out of my hand. I came up with a 3D printed fixture into which the hooks can be inserted and snapped in place. The 3D design gives you a general idea of the part. The photograph shows the original metal part, the way that the hooks fit into the interior of the 3D printed part, and the final 3D printed part, with the hook in place.
